Choosing the right size

Measure

SHOULDER:


Start with a measuring tape* at your solar plexus (the end of your sternum, where it switches from hard to soft), guide the measuring tape up, over, and around your shoulder, bringing it back around your side and connect to where you started.


     *if you don’t have a measuring tape, you can use string or a cord - anything that doesn’t stretch - to measure and then measure that.

WAIST/HIPS:


Next, measure around where you like your drum to sit - i.e., your waist or hips.


Choose your katenor™ harness


Compare your numbers to the size chart below and choose the corresponding size.

If you need a harness outside the range that we offer, please reach out and we can work to make a custom one for you.

Note that I've renamed the two sizes I offer. I'm now naming the sizes based on the waist belt measurement range (36-60 belt size and 25-41 belt size). If you're in the overlap range, make sure you have the shoulder measurement right when you order, and which ever size you choose, make sure you have room to make the belt tighter than you might think for snugness when marching.


36-60 belt Size

Shoulder:  42.5 - 62.5 inches

Waist/hip: 36 - 60 inches

26-41  belt Size (minimal stock available)

Shoulder: 33 - 45 inches

Waist/hip: 26 - 41
